A few from Christmas 2013
A bit late in posting these:
Buddy likes to steal lady's underwear... thus the composition. This painting, along with Buddy, resides in Vancouver.
This is Buster. I only had one photo to work from... as it turns out Buster lost his left eye shortly after our photo session and this was the only pose that showed just his right eye. The client let me create any composition I wanted - I was quite happy with how this turned out.
Fiona... what a beautiful Sheltie. And what a cooperative model. Our photo session must have been one of the shortest on record and every photo was gorgeous.

Here are four new paintings that I'm excited to share...
This painting is a revised version of an earlier work- bigger and (I feel) even better. It was purchased by Mutt Lynch Wineries in California. They feature dogs on their wine labels...
This painting is called 'Dynamism of a Basset- Ode to Balla'. It is my twist on a favourite painting by Futurist Painter Giacomo Balla called 'Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash' 1912. The original painting features a dachshund, its little legs a blur... Bassets on the other hand typically don't move that quickly... just his tail and ear seem to have momentum in this image.
'The Orange Ball'. What more needs to be said...? Except maybe that this image is quite large- 18" x 54".
Little Polly is a Chihuahua/ Yorkie mix... I think. She is wonderfully strange and incredible sweet.

Sweet and devoted
the latest addition to the pet portfolio- Lola and Spencer are absolutely devoted to their human. He felt it would be appropriate to place them in an outdoor setting. I created the leaves by making linocuts and then individually painting them different colours before I 'printed' them on the wood panel.
